Business Attraction

The MCPED is responsible for promoting Macomb County to business investment prospects from around the globe. Our primary attraction targets are manufacturers and other technology-based businesses. The MCPED’s experienced and knowledgeable staff is prepared to serve as your project manager, coordinating the appropriate components of your expansion into, or relocation to our community.

Among the assistance that the MCPED tailors to the specific needs of our business attraction prospects are:

  • Site Selection
  • Business Development Financing
  • Tax Exemptions
  • Development Incentives
  • Project Management
  • Economic & Demographic Research

The MCPED’s considerable business assistance resources are greatly enhanced through the partnerships that we have forged with others engaged in bringing new investment to our region. We participate in business attraction activities originating at the regional level, through the Detroit Regional Economic Partnership, and in the statewide initiatives of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

The DREP’s business attraction activities are coordinated through its North American, European, Asian and Technology Committees. Each sponsor annual trade missions and exhibit at select trade expositions. The MEDC’s vehicle for business attraction is through its International Business Development staff, comprised of specialists for Asian, European and North American investment. MCPED staff maintains a close working relationship with both organizations and relies on their resources to complete the comprehensive package of services available to our clients.
