University of Michigan-Ann Arbor

College of Creative Studies

One of the nation’s leading arts education institutions offers Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in eleven studio majors. Located near the Detroit cultural center, programs focus on preparing students for professional careers as related to art and design. CCS has one of the world’s most recognized programs in transportation design and places more graduates in the automotive industry than any other school.

Kettering University

Eastern Michigan University

Lawrence Technological University

Located in nearby Southfield, this private college offers undergraduate and graduate programs in architecture, business management, chemistry, engineering (civil, construction, computer, electrical and mechanical), environmental chemistry, graphic design, industrial management, thermal science, pre-law, pre-medicine, psychology, radio and television broadcasting and technical management.

Oakland University

Located just 25 miles northeast of Detroit, Oakland University is a state-supported, liberal arts and professional institution established in 1957. Primarily a commuter college, Oakland University offers 113 bachelor degree programs through its College of Arts and Sciences and five professional schools that include business administration, education/human services, engineering and computer science, health sciences and nursing.

University of Detroit Mercy
