Michigan Works! is a customer focused workforce development system that prepares people for work. Assistance to all employers and job seekers is available to ensure that employers are provided with a supply of skilled workers and individuals are provided with an opportunity to advance their knowledge and skills to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Employers seeking workers can list their job openings on Michigan’s Talent Bank, the nation’s first Internet-based public labor exchange system. Job seekers can post their resumes for review by employers who are recruiting workers.
Services include; Michigan Talent/Job Bank access for employers and job seekers, mediated employment services including access to job search resource materials and regular workshops, Veterans employment Services, Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA). Work First and the Area Agency on Aging, as well as the National Caucus and the Center on Black Aged, Inc., provide employment services for senior citizens.
