The SBA provides quality and expert assistance to the business community through an extensive array of programs tailored to encourage the creation and growth of small business enterprises in all areas of endeavor. The SBA’s programs now include financing assistance, business management and federal contract procurement assistance, as well as assistance in international trade; each are offered with special outreach to women, minorities and armed forces veterans. The SBA also provides loans to victims of natural disasters.

The goal of the Michigan District Office is to create an environment within Michigan where small businesses can grow and prosper. This is achieved through the services provided free by the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Centers, SCORE, Women Business Centers and U.S. Export Assistance Centers.
