The Macomb County Clerk's Office is under the leadership of Macomb County Clerk / Register of Deeds Carmella Sabaugh. By Michigan statute, the County Clerk is the "keeper of records" for the citizens of Macomb County. The County Clerk is the official Clerk for the 16th Judicial Circuit Court including the Family Division, Board of Commissioners, Election Scheduling Committee, Election Commission, Tax Allocation Board, Board of Canvassers, Plat Board, Civil Service Commission for the Macomb County Sheriff Department, Jury Commission and the Concealed Weapon Licensing Board.
