Harrison Township is located in southeast Macomb County along the shores of Lake St. Clair. Harrison Township is home to Selfridge Air National Guard Base which comprises much of the northern one third of the Township. The Clinton River flows through the heart of the Township and discharges its waters into Lake St. Clair.

Residents of Harrison Township enjoy a host of water related recreation opportunities. Metropolitan Beach, one of the three regional Metroparks within the County, offers residents year round recreation activities. A bike path located adjacent to Metropolitan Parkway provides Township residents with a pleasant, non-motorized, link to Metro Beach Metropark.
