Commissioner Toni Moceri is serving her second term as a county commissioner. Re-elected to a two-year term in November 2010, Moceri represents Warren’s District 1.

During her first term, she served as vice-chair of both the Education & Training Committee and the Senior Services Committee, chaired the Energy Ad Hoc Committee, and was a member of Special Budget and Transition Ad Hoc Committees.

Moceri’s primary focus is keeping Macomb County a great place to live and work. Other goals include engaging young people to participate in local government, expanding educational and training opportunities, and exploring ways to develop our economy by meeting the needs of Macomb County’s growing senior citizen population. She currently serves Macomb County as a member of the Area Agency on Aging board.

A graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in American Culture and Anthropology, Moceri specialized in urban studies while gaining experience in areas such as affordable housing, transportation planning and community development/community development. She studied urbanism at the Bauhaus College in Dessau, Germany, and has a master of research degree in Humanities and Cultural Studies from the London Consortium (Birkbeck College, University of London) in England.

A Warren native, Moceri graduated from Cousino High School.
