Brian Brdak was re-elected in November 2006 to represent the residents of District 14, which includes the cities of New Baltimore and Richmond, the Village of New Haven, Lenox Township, and the northern part of Chesterfield Township. The 2007-08 term will be his second on the County Board.
Brdak, 38, is director of Green Michigan, an organization that focuses on environmental education and awareness programs.
Before starting at Green Michigan, Brdak worked as an aide to former Congressman David Bonior, was a field representative for Seafarer’s International Union, a caseworker for the Macomb/St. Clair Private Industry Council (Michigan Works) and an assembly line worker at the Chrysler Warren Truck Plant for five years.
Brdak is a member of the New Baltimore Lions Club, the Bay-Rama Festival Committee, the Interfaith Center for Racial Justice, the New Baltimore Historical Society and the New Baltimore Goodfellows.
He also participates in the county Adopt-a-Road program, cleaning Gratiot Avenue between 24 and 25 Mile roads twice a year.
He has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and is a graduate of Anchor Bay High School.
Brdak and his wife Heather live in New Baltimore. They have one son.
