About Commissioner Kathy D. Vosburg:
Board of Commissioners Chair Kathy D. Vosburg was elected to serve her sixth two-year term as a County Commissioner in November 2012.
In addition to representing the residents of Lenox and Chesterfield townships, New Haven Village, and the city of New Baltimore in District 8, she served as Board Chair from 2011-2012.
Vosburg holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Detroit College of Business (now Davenport University). She also earned an associate degree in accounting from Davenport, and a certificate from Harvard University’s Senior Executives in State and Local Government program.
She owns and runs an income tax consulting business, and has been a tax professional for more than 30 years. Vosburg is also a member of the Michigan chapter of the National Association of Tax Professionals.
As part of her career in public service, Vosburg serves on numerous boards and committees, including: the Macomb County Community Mental Health Board, the Macomb County Water Resources Advisory Council, and is a delegate to the Vice Chair of the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG). Vosburg also serves as the Michigan Association of Counties appointee to the Michigan Public Safety Frequency Advisory Committee, and is on the board of directors of Compassion Pregnancy Centers of Macomb. She has an avid interest in local history and belongs to the Chesterfield Township Historical Society, Friends of The Chesterfield Township Library, and the Anchor Bay Rotary Club.
Vosburg has been married to her husband, Duane, for nearly 40 years. They have lived in Chesterfield Township since 1975, and have three married sons and four grandchildren.
