Dining Senior Style

Dining Senior Style is one of the programs administered by MCCSA's Senior Nutrition Program.
Dining Senior Style is a program for senior citizens who are able to visit a dining site (people who are not homebound). Homebound senior citizens are served by the Meals-on-Wheels program.
Dining Senior Style sites are designed to meet the nutritional and social needs of Macomb County senior citizens. Meals are planned with great care and attention to:

meet one-third of the current recommended dietary allowances

include hot or cold selections depending on the season

be deliciously and attractively prepared
In addition to promoting better health among the older population through improved nutrition, the program is aimed at reducing social isolation. Dining Senior Style sites regularly offer informational sessions, card games, seasonal parties, and crafts.
The only requirement for participation is having reached the age of 60 (or being the spouse of someone who is at least 60 years old). Meals are available on a "first come, first served" basis. A $3.00 cost sharing contribution is accepted for the meals. All donations go directly back into the program to help provide meals.
