About Meals on Wheels | Volunteer for Meals on Wheels | Donate to Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is designed for senior citizens unable to prepare meals for themselves. A volunteer delivers a meal directly to the homebound senior citizen's door. The meals help ensure that seniors receive a nutritious hot meal and are able to stay in their own homes, preventing or delaying nursing home placement.

Volunteers
At this time, volunteers are especially needed in Clinton Township, New Baltimore, New Haven, Romeo, Roseville, St. Clair Shores, Sterling Heights and Warren.
Substitute drivers are needed in all areas of Macomb County. Those interested in volunteering can call the MCCSA Senior Nutrition Program at 586-469-5228 or sign up using the online form.
Volunteer duties:
- Attend a new volunteer orientation.
- Deliver meals two times per month.
- Routes take approximately 90 minutes to complete.
- Routes are driven Monday through Friday at lunchtime.
- Routes can be located close to a volunteer's home or work.
- Holiday meals are delivered on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Emergency Preparedness Packs are delivered twice a year on Saturdays.
Volunteers must:
- Have their own vehicle.
- Have a valid driver's license and carry automobile insurance.
Mileage reimbursement is offered.
