Request for 2008 CDBG Proposals
Non-Profit Organizations
Macomb Urban County

The Urban County of Macomb is requesting proposals from non-profit organizations seeking to obtain 2008 CDBG funding for programs within the 21-community jurisdiction of the Macomb Urban County.   The proposals must address one of the following objectives:

+ Assit the homeless, or prevent homeless among at-risk populations,    including those with special needs; or provide strategic planning services to    address such needs.

+ Provide or expand services to LI people, including those with special needs,    and those at –risk of becoming homeless.

+ Improve a community resource.

Proposals must be: 1) submitted on the prescribed form, 2) substantially complete, and 3) received not later than 5:00 pm on December 6, 2007.  Electronically submitted applications will not be accepted. 

A workshop will be held at the Ver Kuilen Center, 21885 Dunham Rd., Clinton Township, at 9:30 on Thursday, November 8.  All potential applicants are advised to attend.  Information concerning the process and applications will be made available at that meeting.  Forms may also be obtained directly from the County’s Dept. of Planning & Economic Development.  Direct requests to Michael Rozny, Program Manager, at Mike.Rozny@macombcountymi.gov, or Michael Connors, Associate Planner at Michael.Connors@macombcountymi.gov .
