E911/CLEMIS Emergency Response Mapping GIS Program

Macomb County GIS Services provides key mapping and address management support to the regional Courts and Law Enforcement Management Information System (CLEMIS) Enhanced 911 dispatch system.  This collaboration of Michigan counties includes Genesee, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland and Washtenaw and many of their local units of government.  Macomb County GIS Services maintains the county’s road centerline/address feature dataset along with the required emergency response service areas.  Within Macomb County there are twenty-four communities who perform their E911 based dispatch functions utilizing these datasets.   On a monthly basis, road, address and centerline updates are transferred to CLEMIS for inclusion in the dispatch system.
