Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

 




The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program provides information to families and seniors. Information on meal planning, preparing low-cost foods, using food stamps, basic nutrition, and managing the food budget is provided.

Family Nutrition Program

In particular, learn how to:

  • Assess daily nutrient needs
  • Shop for basics
  • Plan menus
  • Read labels
  • Cook for one
  • Control sodium, cholesterol, and fat
In addition, you can learn how to plan meals ahead of time so that you can:
  • Make sure you get the NUTRIENTS needed each day
  • Add VARIETY and new tastes to meals
  • Save MONEY by taking advantage of specials at the supermarket
