Important Application Reminders

  • All Macomb County schools must submit the appropriate Macomb County application, found on this website. 
  • Schools should submit applications via the online submission process or email to:  patti.dib@macombcountymi.gov
  • Photos and other documents to support applications may also be submitted via email to:  patti.dib@macombcountymi.gov
  • Schools will receive notification of status no later than mid-March.  If you have not heard by March 20th, please contact Patti Dib.

  • The Michigan Green Schools Program is a fun, educational initiative which encourages students to participate in activities that are good for the environment and promote energy efficiency and savings.
  • Want to become an Official Michigan Green School? Activities that take place between March 1, 2011 and the application deadline of March 1, 2012 are eligible to be included in your application for certification for the 2011-12 school year.

 

Did you know ...  The 2010-11 program cycle had 101 Macomb County schools earning "Green" status; of those, 32 also achieved "Emerald;" and 36 also achieved "Evergreen" status. 

Did you know ...  During the 2009-10 program year, 71 Macomb County schools earned "Green" status; of those, 23 also achieved "Emerald;" and 15 also achieved "Evergreen" status. 

Did you know ...  During our first year, 2008-09, 45 schools earned Official Michigan Green School status.
