Board Of Commissioners

About Us

The Board of Commissioners uses the committee system to bring recommendations before the Full Board each month for formal action. There are nine standing committees, each of which are responsible for a particular area of county government. There are approximately 120 committee meetings annually as well as additional Ad Hoc Committee meetings when it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study on a specific issue. Actions by all committees are subject to the approval of the Full Board.
