Rooted in our community

Mission: The Council on Aging (COA) serves to maximize independence and enhance the quality of life for all seniors (60 years of age and older) through education, advocacy, and outreach.

Objectives: The Council on Aging will provide educational programs which will address the specific interests and needs of seniors. These programs will be provided regularly throughout the calendar year. 

 


 

 

 

 


Meetings: The Council On Aging has 16 Board members.  The Board represents a cross-section of representatives from different communities across Macomb County. Board meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at 10am., unless otherwise notified. The General Assembly member meetings are held every month and begin at 1:00 p.m. after the Board Meetings.  Member meetings are held in the VerKuilen Building Auditorium (unless otherwise specified).  The annual Board member election and Christmas party are for members and by invitation only. The cost to join the Macomb County Council on Aging is $4.
