Privacy Policy - Redaction of Social Security Numbers Pursuant to Michigan Supreme Court Administrative Order 2006-2, the Macomb Circuit Court suggests that persons who wish to seek redaction of social security numbers placed in documents in existing cases file motions in the individual cases. Motions and proposed orders to redact must identify the particular document(s) and the exact page on the number(s) appears. Given the staggering number of documents involved, the Clerk's Office is unable to search files for social security numbers. The Court suggests (but does not require) that attorneys and parties in pro se use the local Order to Redact Social Security Numbers. For more information on the privacy of social security numbers in Michigan courts see Frequently Asked Questions on Administrative Order 2006-2. |
