Macomb County death records are not available for viewing, but may be purchased by anyone. Records are available for Macomb County deaths ONLY. Requests can be made in person, by mail, and with a credit card via online or fax.

Request A Copy In Person

Visit the Macomb County Clerk's Offices at 40 North Main (first floor of the Macomb County Court Building) in Downtown Mount Clemens.  CLICK HERE for directions to the Macomb County Clerk's Office.

Write a letter stating the required information, and enclose a check or money order. Mail to Macomb County Clerk, Attn: Death Records, 40 North Main, Mount Clemens, MI 48043.

Request A Copy By Fax

CLICK HERE to download document 3010 -- the Macomb County Vital Records Fax Request Form. Or to print document 3010 on your fax machine, call 888-99-CLERK if you are calling from within Michigan. If you are calling from out-of-state, call 310-575-5035.

If the individual did not die in Macomb County, request document number 3053 to purchase your vital record from the State of Michigan.

• Name of decedent, date of death, place of death

• Appropriate certified copy fee

Fees

• $10.00 -- one certified copy

• $3.00 -- additional certified copy of same record

• Method of payments accepted: cash, check, VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

• Please make checks payable to: "Macomb County Clerk."
