MT.CLEMENS: Commission gets 2 new members

The commission charged with revamping Macomb County government appointed two members on Wednesday to fill vacancies on the board.

The 26-member Charter Commission appointed Charles Medley, a Chesterfield Township Republican, to fill the seat vacated by state Rep. Daniel Acciavatti, a Republican who resigned after he learned he could not serve while still a legislator.

Nick Ciaramitaro, a Roseville Democrat, will replace Jan Haggerty, a Democrat who said she no longer wanted to serve because her husband is gravely ill.
