The County Clerk is the official Clerk for the 16th Judicial Circuit Court including the Family Division, Board of Commissioners, Election Scheduling Committee, Election Commission, Tax Allocation Board, Board of Canvassers, Plat Board, Civil Service Commission for the Macomb County Sheriff Department, Jury Commission and the Concealed Weapon Licensing Board.

Under the direction of the Macomb County Board of Commissioners and the Macomb County Community Mental Health Board, Macomb County Community Mental Health provides a wide variety of mental health treatment and support services to adults and children with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse treatment needs. Individual services provided may include assessment; outpatient or home-based treatment; mental health assessment prior to nursing home placement; residential, respite or support services; or other alternatives as determined by individual needs. Service Centers are barrier free. TTY access to the MCCMH system is provided through the Crisis Center, Ombudsman and Office of Recipient Rights. Services are available in American Sign Language, as well as other alternative languages as needed. MCCMH programs and services are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

The Juvenile Division of the Macomb County Circuit Court has exclusive jurisdiction in cases involving youths under the age of seventeen and concurrent jurisdiction over those over seventeen, but not yet eighteen. It offers a number of programs for youth who are at risk due to abuse, neglect or delinquency. The Division also presides over adoption requests in Macomb County.

This division administrates testate and intestate decedent’s estates and has exclusive jurisdiction over testamentary and intervivos trusts. Where appropriate the Court appoints guardians and/or conservators for minors and legally incapacitated adults. As a public service, the Court accepts for safekeeping the Last Will and Testaments of county residents. There is a nominal fee of $25 for this service.

The Office of the County Treasurer exists by virtue of Michigan Law. County funds under the Treasurer's jurisdiction include drainage districts, county road improvement projects, Circuit Court, Veteran's Trust, and the Delinquent Tax Revolving Fund.
