About Commissioner Bob Smith:
First elected in November 2010, Commissioner Bob Smith has been re-elected to serve a second two-year term on the Board of Commissioners until 2014.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Central Michigan University, and is a 1980 graduate of Chippewa Valley High School. Smith worked as a fire marshal for the Clinton Township Fire Department for 25 years and is recently retired. He currently attends Thomas Cooley Law School.
Smith serves as a member of the South East Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG). As a commissioner he is currently a member of the Courts and Clerk/Register of Deeds, Economic Development, Public Safety, Board of Operations, and Finance committees.
Smith, 49, lives in Clinton Township with his wife, Felisha, and their three children.
