Community Action Centers


 

MCCSA's Community Action Center

Macomb County Community Services Agency (MCCSA) has three "Community Action Centers." In addition to offering support services for Macomb County's limited income residents, the Centers also serve as the intake point for MCCSA'S other programs.

 

The Community Operations Group oversees the three centers. If you have general questions regarding the Action Centers call (586) 469-5222.

    • Emergency assistance
      • Rent/mortgage
      • Utilities
    • Energy conservation education and weatherization programs
    • Free tax preparation
    • Commodity food program registration
    • Focus: HOPE food for seniors
    • Chore service program registration
    • Transportation program registration
    • Low-income housing information

 

The Community Action Center programs and services serve eligible limited-income families, individuals, senior citizens and disabled persons with the goal of improved self-sufficiency for participants.

 

Applicants must be Macomb County residents meeting income guidelines. Guidelines vary for each program. All households seeking assistance are required to provide documentation to determine eligibility.

If you live in the Northern Macomb Area:
Including Armada, Bruce Township, Chesterfield Township (north of 23 Mile Road), Lenox, Macomb Township (north of 23 Mile Road), Memphis, New Baltimore (north of 23 Mile Road), New Haven, Ray, Richmond, Romeo, Shelby Township (north of 23 Mile Road), or Washington Township.
