The mission of the Macomb Food Program is to provide food to hungry people in Macomb County. Feeding the hungry since 1975, the Macomb food Program provides immediate relief to those in need of emergency food through a network of more than 50 pantries and hunger relief organizations. The MFP supplies food twice a month at no cost to ensure pantry shelves are stocked. Food to supplement donated non-perishable is purchased with donations and grants.

Seasonally, volunteers are needed at the Macomb Food Program's warehouse to sort and re-box donated food products that will be distributed to its network of pantry distribution sites. Please call 586-469-6004 for more information.
The criteria to access the Macomb Food Program requires only that a person be a Macomb County resident and have an emergency need for food. The person in need of emergency food must call United Way information/referral 2-1-1 (or 1-800-552-1183) or contact us at 586 469-6004.
