GIS Based Community Foreclosure Analysis Tool

The Geographic Information Systems Services Group of the Macomb County department of Planning and Economic Development has developed an analysis tool to aid local units of government in analyzing mortgage foreclosed properties within their jurisdictions. 

Developed utilizing data provided by the Macomb County Clerk / Register of Deeds , the tool provides address based mapping and analysis functions that can be linked to local tax and assessing information.  Combined together, this information can be utilized to identify and map existing patterns of foreclosures at the parcel level, examine existing and emerging concentrations of foreclosures and help strategize and direct resources to areas in greatest need. 

Local units of government wishing to visualize and explore their current foreclosure environment are encouraged to contact the Department of Planning and Economic Development to learn more about this new resource.
