Chinese Art Exchange The Michigan 4-H China Project, conducted in cooperation with the People’s Republic of China, is a global education program that uses the arts for both in-school and after-school learning experiences. The project provides Michigan kindergartners through sixth graders a chance to learn of the many similarities between their lives and the lives of their counterparts halfway around the world. The China teaching kits are available for use in Macomb County on a limited basis during the school year. Call the 4-H office at 586.469.6431 to reserve the kit for your classroom, 4-H group or other youth serving organization. County Exchange Programs 4-H Youth County Exchange Programs are a great way for young people to learn about themselves and others, practice a lot of life skills (such as how to manage money) and are a way to travel and meet new people. Exchange participants host others from another county or state, meet new friends and learn that we are all alike in some ways. International Exchanges offer a unique opportunity to learn and appreciate different cultures, customs and values on a very personal level. Michigan 4-H Youth Development offers cross cultural opportunities both through traveling abroad or hosting an international visitor.
