Community Riverside Education Program

The focus for this program is for students to look at their community's local water resources that can be accessed by walking or a short bus ride.

Community Riverside Education Program

With the opportunity to spend more time at a local site (both in number and length of visits), students will be able to look at not only water quality test results, but also the impact surrounding natural and man made uses that contributed to those test results. Target age groups are 6th through 8th grade middles school students.

We will expand our riverside program throughout the county by sponsoring a county-wide workshop for teachers in the fall and providing educational materials to classes.
