Local Events and Training: Macomb County 4-H Science Blast 2011 October 6, 2011 The 4-H Science Blast will introduce youth and their families to science related activities. These exciting activities explore science related matters without even realizing science concepts are in motion! Youth ages five to 19 will have the chance to engage in science activities in key areas such as environmental science, plant science, biology, and water quality. This is a FREE event but registration is required by calling 586-469-6431. The event will take place at 6:30 at the VerKuilen building 21885 Dunham Road, Clinton Township, MI 48036. 4-H Model Rocketry Each spring and summer Macomb County 4-Hers can participate in this project area where they learn to build a rocket, launch it and can then exhibit it in the Armada fair. Contact the 4-H office at 586.469.6431 for more information.
Annually in October Young people across the nation are encouraged to discover, explore and learn about alternative energy and biofuels. Each October, Macomb County invites all young people to participate in a FREE National Science Day Workshop held locally where they will conduct hands on experiments.
