Macomb County is filled with beautiful open space, spacious parks and many recreational opportunities for both the young and old. Each municipality has their own parks and recreation department, many with recreational programs for the whole family. Visit our links page to see a listing of other websites.

Freedom Hill County Park is 100 acres of spacious grounds with two outdoor pavilions, picnic areas, a playscape, a nature trail and an outdoor Amphitheatre. Many folks visit the park to picnic, play at the playscape, enjoy the open space, or connect to the Freedom Trail. The park is open daily from dawn till dusk. Freedom Hill is host to numerous unique special events on a regular basis, including: festivals, car shows, special shows, dances and concerts. Parking fees are only issued during events and the fees vary depending on the event. On the Park Events page you can view an updated listing of public events being held at the park.

The park also houses a large conference center, the Independence Building, which can be rented for almost any kind of event. The park grounds can also be rented for corporate parties, large scale outdoor events or small family gatherings. To download a Rental Price Sheet click here.
