Booster Seats. More than a good idea -- it's the law! |
||||||||||||||||||||||
As of July 1, 2008, all children in Michigan under age 8 or under 4'9" tall must be restrained in an appropriate car seat or booster seat while in a vehicle. Seat belts are designed for adults, but booster seats can make seat belts fit children properly
To get answers to frequently asked questions regarding booster seats, visit our Booster Seat Web Page. Included on the web page are printable flyers in English, Spanish and Arabic.
The Macomb County Health Department has two Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians that can help answer your car seat or booster seat questions or provide car seat inspections. To speak with a Technician, please call (586) 412-3398 or (586) 412-3391. |
