The Health Education program of the Macomb County Health Department is responsible for a broad range of services offered to schools, communities, professional groups and individuals. |
At the community level, Health Educators are charged with a wide spectrum of responsibilities: |

Coalition Partners |
At the local level, Health Educators are active partners or leaders in the following community coalitions: Macomb County Tobacco Prevention Coalition - focused on preventing and reducing tobacco use and promoting clean indoor air in Macomb County. Healthy Kids - Healthy Futures Coalition of Macomb County - dedicated to improving nutrition and physical activity opportunities for Macomb County youth. Healthstyles of Macomb County - a worksite wellness program aimed toward improving Macomb County employees' health and safety status. Safe Kids Macomb County Coalition - working to prevent unintentional injury in children under the age of fourteen. Utica Area Community Action Team (UCAT) - a local coalition focused on eliminating tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs in school population. Fraser Community Action Team (FCAT) - a local coaliltion focused on "healthy, safe, drug-free lifestyles." Health Educators are also contributing members of various state coalitions: Tobacco Free Michigan Coalition, Michigan Action for Healthy Kids and Michigan Safe Kids Coalition. |

Free car seat safety checks by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians. Car seat inspections are available by appointment.
