| Macomb County is located in southeastern Michigan and comprises the northeastern portion of the Detroit metropolitan area. With a land mass of 482 square miles, the county ranks 3rd in population among Michigan's 83 counties. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2000 there were an estimated 788,149 persons living within 27 municipalities in Macomb County. |
